Sonia Shah Psychotherapy
Online and in-person psychotherapy, London
Psychotherapy/counselling can help in clarifying and deepening your understanding of how you respond to your lived experience.
It is not so much about solving issues, rather an opportunity to take stock of your life, explore the paradoxes, conflicts and dilemmas and have a greater understanding of your unique way of being in the world.
Therapy tries to situate you as an agent. Becoming interested in why you act and feel the way you do facilitates a growing emotional complexity, which can enable you to move forward and come to terms with the transformative process of life.
“When things are shaky and nothing is working, we might realise that we are on the verge of something.”
Sonia Shah, Psychotherapy and Counselling
I am an integrative psychotherapist with a particular interest in existential thinking. I offer both short-term and long-term therapy. I offer online sessions and in person sessions at a Covid-19 secure venue in South London.
The essential elements of psychotherapy/counselling are the therapist, the client and a regular agreed time and space to meet, whether that is virtual or face to face. The relationship between therapist and client is central and it is this authentic relationship that provides clients with a safe space to explore their deepest concerns and challenges.
